Rattanakiri Province

Rattanakiri Province is populate and known for being chock-full of biodiversity, having always been occupied by many separate highland Khmer Loeu hill tribes, some of which have little contact with the rest of the word and still maintaining much of their own traditions. They each have their own language and ways of interpreting life, the universe and everything.

Located at the northeastern corner of Cambodia, this intriguing frontier province is bordered by Laos across the mountains of the Anna mite Range through a hilly plateau between the Se San River and Srepok River to the north with Vietnam to the east.

This frontier province is renowned for her unique natural beauty and wealth of natural resources. The undulating hills and mountains, plateaus, watershed lowlands, clear crater takes, rivers and beautiful waterfall form an impressive itinerary of intriguing destinations for eco-tourism.

Today, although rapid development in the province has altered some traditional ways of life, this remains a very interesting destination for the adventurous and eco-tourism explorers.
